Brown County Women's Health (BCWH) was incorporated June 11, 2012 in Ohio as a non-profit Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).

BCWH spread its wings as a result of Women's Services closing at the hospital in Georgetown, OH.  Since both physicians live in Georgetown, and had a passion to continue caring for local women, they started this non-profit OB/GYN practice.  Drs. Patridge and Varnau together have over 60+ years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.

BARBARA J. PATRIDGE, M.D., FACOG

Doctor Patridge was born in Milbank, S.D.  She attended medical school at the University of South Dakota.  After her OB/GYN residency in St. Paul Minnesota, she moved to Georgetown, OH and has practiced there since 1985, delivering third generation additions to many local families.

Dr. Patridge has extensive knowledge and experience with Goldfish and Koi as one of her main hobbies.  She has also made many medical missionary trips to South America to care for underprivileged rural patients.

Dr. Patridge will be serving as Deputy Coroner of Brown County, Ohio, starting January 7, 2013.

JUDITH A. VARNAU, D.O., FACOG

Doctor Varnau was born in Port Clinton, OH.  She became an RN after high school and entered the U.S. Air Force.  Her military career as a Nurse included a tour of duty in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam.  She then left the Air Force and attended medical school in Athens, OH, and then returned to active duty for an OB/GYN residency at Wright-Patterson AFB and Wright State University in Dayton, OH.  After residency she was stationed in Japan; Germany; Las Vegas, NV; Wichita, KS; and Belleville, IL.  She retired as a Colonel after 35+ years of service, moved to Georgetown, OH, December 2003, and started providing OB/GYN care to the local community in January 2004 .

Dr. Varnau has keen interests in hydroponic and aquaponic gardening, and crochets every spare minute available.

Dr. Varnau was elected Coroner of Brown County, Ohio, for a four-year term, starting January 7, 2013.

Venita C. Milburn, CMM, RMA, SWA

I have worked in the medical field for 28 years and have lived in Brown County for 18 years.  I have managed practices over those years in Family and Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, OB/GYN, Infectious Disease, and Neurology.   I am a registered medical assistant through American Medical Technologists and I have been a member of the Professional Association of Healthcare Management since 2003 and earned certification as a Certified Medical Manager in 2008.  I have an Associate’s degree from Southern State Community College in Human and Social Services where I majored in Chemical Dependency.  I have been licensed in the State of Ohio since 2009 as a Social Work Assistant.  I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management through Ohio Christian University which will be completed in February 2013.

In my spare time I love to spend time with family – especially my grandchildren.  I also work with my pastor doing volunteer work for Brown County probation department working with offenders of domestic violence and those in need of drug and alcohol counseling.

My vision is that BCWH becomes known as a caring and friendly practice that takes care of all the women’s health needs in Brown County and surrounding communities.

SHERRY RADER, CMA

I am married to Ed and I have worked in the medical field for many years working with Dr. Patridge and Dr. Varnau for 23 years.   I am a certified medical assistant and have worked on a degree in medical technology and enjoy working in the healthcare field taking care of the patients helping to deliver exceptional care.  In my spare time, I volunteer with Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars spending much time setting up programs at the Ohio Veterans Home and fund raising activities to raise money for much needed support of our Veterans.    I also enjoy reading in my leisure time and spending time with my family.

I look forward in helping bring women’s  healthcare back to the community that we have taken care of so long and look forward to seeing past patients and future patients that we will be providing healthcare for here in Georgetown.

CATRENIA TUNE, LPN

I have been an LPN for 12 years. I live in Maysville, KY. I am happily married with 3 beautiful children and 1 grandchild.  I am proud to say that I have worked with Dr. Patridge and Dr. Varnau for 12 years and growing, and we are committed to providing Brown County the best possible care.

I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. So in our spare time we do a lot of boating, camping and fishing. But to be honest my most FAVORITE thing to do is spend time with my 3 year old grand daughter, Leah. I am also a volunteer for Hospice of Hope in Maysville, KY. which is very rewarding.
