THE BCWH 2020 WOMEN’S WELLNESS CHALLENGE
FOR THE BIGGEST LOSER

GOAL TO TRY TO MAKE WOMEN OF BROWN COUNTY HEALTHIER

1. MONTHLY BIGGEST LOSER. To participate for the month you must pay one dollar. On the first day of the next month will calculate the daily weight loss for participants and multiply that number by 10. The biggest loser will get $20.00

2. QUARTERLY BIGGEST LOSER. To participate for the quarter you must pay three dollars (Can be same $3 for the monthly challenge). On Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1 and Jan1 2021 will calculate the daily weight loss for the participants and multiply that number by 10. Then add it to the pounds lost in that quarter and add 1 for each inch lost in the waist in this quarter. The biggest loser for the quarter must will get $40.00.

3. YEAR END BIGGEST LOSER. On 1 Jan 2021 will calculate total pounds of weight lost, add 1 for each inch lost in the waist in the year, and finally add 5 if she has had her appropriate health screening done in 2020. The biggest loser will get $100.00 .

4. Participants will pay $1.00 for each month they want to participate, and the 6th month nothing is due if you have lost 5 pounds in those 6 months. Any money not spent will be donated to "Brown County Night to Shine." BCWH employees and their family members are not eligible for prizes, but can be designated as the Biggest Loser.

5. There will be additional prizes depending on what participation BCWH can get from community businesses. Will also try to get additional events planned.

To calculate the daily weight loss will take the first weight recorded at BCWH for 2020. If there are fluctuations in the weight during the year, can only calculate down from the lowest previous weight recorded. Persons who have had weight loss surgery during the last 2 years, may be disqualified from winning the prizes. Persons with a pregnancy in the last 6 months, may also be disqualified from winning the prizes. Weight for start of month or start of the quarter may be up to 7 days before the start date.

For monthly winner will take second weight in that month and subtract it from first weight and divide by number of days between the 2 dates. Example 4 Jan weight was 200# and weighed again 28 Jan and weighed 190#. With 10 pound loss in 24 days = 0.42# loss/day (10 divided by 24). The participant with the largest # will be the winner for that month (2 weights must be recorded for that month).

For the quarterly winner will need two weights recorded in that quarter at BCWH. Will take the second weight and subtract it from the first weight to get the weight lost, and divide it by the number of days between the 2 dates to get the calculated daily weight loss for the participant. In addition will add a 1 to your score for each inch lost around the waist, as measured at BCWH. Waist measurements are important, because it is a possible indication of the amount fat that you have around your internal organs. Women should have a measurement that is less than 35 inches.

For the end of year BIGGEST loser will need at least 2 weights at BCWH. Will start with the difference between these 2 numbers for total weight lost, will add one for every inch decrease at the waist and add 5 points if you have done your appropriate yearly women’s health exam (Will allow 1.5yrs for appropriate exams). Must have women’s GYN health exam, pap (if indicated), mammogram (if indicated), BP measurement, Blood sugar (If indicated), Cholesterol (if indicated), and Colon cancer screen (if indicated).
